EARTH PILGRIM
Presented by Satish Kumar

An AGB Films production for BBC NHU / BBC Worldwide

Earth Pilgrim takes viewers on a journey through the seasons of Dartmoor and explores our deep and profound relationship with the natural world. It is an Eastern view of the West, seen through the eyes of Satish Kumar; a Jain monk and a world-renowned conservationist and a pacifist.

This lyrical film is a 'meditation on the moor’, portraying an engrossing account of Satish Kumar's philosophy and reverence for the living Earth. According to the BBC Wildlife Magazine review, “Our leaders should make his insightfulness an integral part of their manifestos. It would be a better world if Bush applied some of Kumar's principles — and meant them.”

Some truly spectacular cinematography...

THE GUARDIAN

We relax in front of my laptop (the telly and video are delightfully lo-fi) and watch a DVD - it's a forthcoming BBC programme about Dartmoor through the seasons and for once I've got a press preview copy. It is so mesmeric we can't wait for tomorrow's walk.

DAILY MAIL

You'll probably have seen similar sights in documentaries but you'll never have felt their impact so acutely.
